Our English Springer Spaniels
When we took in English Springer Spaniels life changed for us. Our first one was named Lizzy, and she has influenced the naming of every Springer we have had since. Even as I post this plaque that had her paw prints set on it I am reminded of how little I knew when we got her, and of how much more I still have to learn nearly twenty years later. Lizzy began a slow process in my life of changing me. I owned many breeds of dogs before, and they were wonderful. However English Springer Spaniels have transformed me more then any other breed. In this blog I will share primarily what an impact these English Springer Spaniels have made on me. Also there will be some health tips, feeding tips, and training tips. If I have read a good book on dogs I will share it here as well. However that is not the main focus.

While I do hope that others gain something from what I share I must give a full disclosure, if for no other reason then to clear my conscience. I take the time writing about our English Springer Spaniels to keep myself healthy. My family has believed that I have a vivid imagination for years. Just because they do not hear our English Springer Spaniels talking to them does not mean that it really is not happening. I think that we humans just do not take the time to listen close enough to hear what our best friends are sharing with us. In doing that I will at times share what I hear from my furry friends. If you do not hear your dogs talking that is OK, we all get better at hearing the more we practice. Maybe as I at times share what mine are telling me it will help you understand yours as well. I currently am doing this through an ongoing story called Leona’s Diary. It is a dairy of an English Springer Spaniels puppy born to us on March 23, 2013.
Life without an English Springer Spaniel, I do not think so.
For me my English Springer Spaniels have a purpose.
